An Exhibition of Prints by Amruta Shambharkar and Girish Udkude
Through there work the artists are trying to express their inner most feelings about outer world of politics, pollution and poly-mechanism. All of them aim to be close to the subject but their work or the very nature of art, drifts them away to the realm of creativity where all these expressions are being hewed by their emotions. The problem of working on these subjects is that, mostly all the painters end up doing a poster on it, rather than a work of art. Here they are all gripped by the surrounding of the mundane worldly things and it leaves an impact on all these artists. They all are inspired by it but they create something very different from their inspirations. Here you can see some of the very sensuous prints dealing with the subject of no importance but the way it has been created it surprises us. Technically perfect and emotionally charged, these works are a good beginning for understanding art and its expression. The artists here express themselves, not only through prints but they do try other mediums like Installations etc…
