Alliance Française de Bhopal, the Indo-French cultural center is organizing A solo exhibition entitled,Food Mythology” by French Artist, Enora Lanet. Opening will be on Friday, 07 February, 2020 at 6:30 pm at Alliance Française Gallery. The exhibition can be viewed until 19 February, 2020.

The French artist Enora Lalet will be in Bhopal (MP – India) for nearly 6 weeks for several artistic projects, from 4 February to mid-March 2020. At first, the journey of Enora will coincide with the launch of the “FOOD MYTHOLOGY” exhibition at Alliance Française de Bhopal.

An exhibition that will show the various works conducted by the artist, in recent years. It’s an exhibition of 14 ‘Cooked Portraits’. There are mix of several series from Colombia, Indonesia and France. The heart of Enora’s work on this project is making real portraits, dressing people by using elements of their gastronomy. She will be using local cuisine, and sublimate it, to make people proud of their own gastronomic culture.

Beyond this exhibition, the artist will also produce a series of original portraits on the theme of Indian cuisine during an artistic residency in Bhopal. The series of photos / “cooked portraits”, printed in large formats (banners / collages …) will be displayed in Bhopal for a second round exhibition!

Through her work, Enora brings a very colorful, soft and accessible vision of contemporary art.

 

PS: The artist never uses animals for her portraits / all the food uses is consumed and / or distributed.

The exhibition is open for all art lovers. The gallery can be visited from 10 am to 07 pm from Monday to Saturday. The gallery remains closed on Sundays and public holidays.
