On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, Alliance Française de Bhopal presents an exhibition entitled Confluence featuring the work of 8 young Women artists from Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal, Jabalpur & Indore): Rivya Bakutra, Shubhi Jain, Payal Meda, Rani Paraste, Trapti Porwal, Mona Sharma, Roshni Shyam, Lalita Tahed. Their works reflect a diversity of styles and learning backgrounds, four painters belonging to the Bhil and Gond community and the four others having academic training.

This exhibition – curated by Mr. Akhilesh Varma – captures the creativity of these artists who depict ordinary life, natural surroundings, and the female body. Their works mirror different technics and emotions but convey a similar reflection of womanhood.
