Live Concert by OZMA Quartet
Named after a character from the Wizard of Oz as well as the “extra galactic life research” program of the NASA, OZMA was formed eleven years ago. The members of the band grew up musically together through a common passion for jazz and jam sessions. They developed personal compositions, without any stylistic frontier, and always searched for a more organic and spontaneous sound.
The urban side of their music provides a melting-pot of non-conformism and astonishing fun, as an art of interplay inside of a captivating universe. In 2006 they got the first prize at the National Jazz Competition Jazz in la Défense in Paris. Since then, the band played over 120 concerts across Europe, Africa and Asia. OZMA has released two albums produced by the French label «Juste une Trace»: Electric Taxi Land (2007) and Strange Traffic (2009). This second album has got a sharp andcolorful atmosphere, with news pieces fed with live energy and subtle jazz references.
