The French Animation Film Festival (“Fête du cinéma d’animation”) is an annual event that celebrates the art of animated movies. It revolves around the 28th of October, which is recognized as International Animation Day—a tribute to the first-ever projection of animated cartoons by Charles-Émile Reynaud on October 28, 1892.
In France, the Animation Film Festival holds significant prominence, drawing enthusiasts, filmmakers, and animation lovers. In the foreign network, it is coordinated by the French Institute (Institut Français). The Festival showcases a diverse range of animated films, from classic to contemporary gems. The Alliance Française de Bhopal is delighted to participate for the first time in the Animation Film Festival by offering several screenings in Bhopal. Not only will these films be screened within our walls, but also in our partner schools, fostering a love for animation and creativity.
